Halloween Sneak Peak

We had our ward Halloween party last weekend and silly me, with everything else I had going on, I forgot the camera. Luckily, we're dressing up again this weekend and going trick-or-treating. We'll definitely take pictures this time. But here's a little peak at the hats I made for the boys for their costumes...sorry, they are backwards. Adam likes to wear them that way and so fixed Michael's for him. I should have made the bills shorter...they can't see very well. They're cute, even if the boys can't see...

The 3K Eastman Road Race

I mentioned to Brian that I wanted to do a race...at least walk in one (a walking race, not a running race...I don't run). So, back in September we went as a family and did the 3K walk (the only one that allowed a stroller). We had fun, even though it rained the whole time and well all got soaked, minus Michael (which is a good thing). The picture looks goofy, because we're soaked, and it's in our garage...I didn't take the camera to the race...in the rain. Oh and please forgive the fact that Adam is wearing nothing but a diaper...we stripped him of his wet clothes before we got in the car.

I did a 3K!! Now I have to work up to run a 3K. I know, I'm nuts, with the whole I-don't-run thing, but it's a goal.

The Michael Crawling Saga

Alright, here's the pictures. In progression...

In our basement (with our new, free, couches...they remind me of Grandma Hofmann's) on September 12th

The next day (9/13) Michael goes to this...as you can tell by his little face, he's frustrated that he can't move and his poor little knees hurt.

And then...he starts crawling!! And attacking Mom, I might add. He's much happier crawling than he was stationary. This was taken October 8th. It only takes a few weeks...

And now you can watch Michael crawl! I'm glad we have these wonders of technology since none of our family is close enough to watch our kids grow...what a blessing! (the having technology part, not the not-having-family-close part).

I am NOT ready for this!

That being said...Michael is crawling. He has been crawling for about 2 weeks and he's getting pretty fast. I don't have the camera card at the moment...so no video or pictures yet.

Michael is happy to move, but he's not satisfied. Now, he wants to stand. He has pulled himself up on a diaper box to hold on to the ironing board (and he stood just fine, even if the ironing board wasn't sturdy). Just now, he pulled up on a stool and then to the couch and stood for a good 3 minutes. I just want him to crawl for a good while!! Standing up has a much greater falling distance than crawl-position. At least he's a happy baby, for the most part. He's pretty good about Adam pestering him. My boys are happy and growing. Despite the kids and I being sick this week (and last) we're feeling better. Enough so that we can go to the temple this weekend! And that means....the zoo!! Stick around for pictures! Oh, yes, and Michael's first tooth is starting to make its appearance...slowly. What a trooper!

Life with Michael

Since family is so far away...and I've been slacking on the blogger front...here's one just for Michael updates:

Michael is now sitting up! Yay! He's starting to eat solid foods a little better. I found this video from the end of July and remember how silly Michael was when I first tried to feed him.

Michael weighed 17 lbs 4 oz at his last check-up. He is now in the 50% for weight, 25% for height and suddenly 80% for head size...sounds like our family--kinda short with lots of brains.

It's a good thing Michael doesn't have teeth...yet. 7/18/10
