I don't think it's even worth anyone's time noting how long it has been since I've updated the blog...my apologies. Sadly, the blog has been towards the bottom of the priority list lately. And seeing as there was no room left on the SD card to take any more pictures, I figured that after I downloaded them, I might as well share a few and, well, here we are.
Just a few things we've been up to the last few months...and sorry, the pictures won't be in chronological order.
When Mommy is too sick to read to the boys, they actually took my suggestion and Adam will read to Michael! (only when he's feeling up to it, though). It's so sweet to me to see my boys being so nice to each other...and loving.
The Blue and Gold dinner was held in February along with the pinewood derby and the Cub Scout master asked me to make the cake. This is what I came up with. It turned out a lot bigger than I planned...but it worked out just fine.
Michael turned 2 in February also--whoo hoo!! It was supposed to be a "train cake" but the cake cracked completely in two when I took it out of the pan, so he got a bus (which he points them out EVERYwhere we go, so he was happy).
We have gone for bike rides and walks at the park when the weather permits. Luckily, the boys have been good about sharing the bike.
A friend of mine mentioned she wanted a baby blanket for her little girl, too, and since she turned 1 in February, I was a little late. But, happy birthday to a sweet girl! It turned out differently than I thought, but I still think it's cute. The back is a red with pink polka dots fabric with a pink strip in the middle.
I just needed to document how cute the boys are getting and how big they are.
Our tulips came up again...beautiful!!
Adam turned 4! I can't believe he's that old, but he is and his actions and growth remind me daily that he is getting bigger. This isn't the BEST picture from that day....I'll have to find that one.
I'm learning more about photography and using what natural light we can in the house.
And this just melts my heart and I''m sure it will melt Grandma's' hearts, too. Hopefully this scene will happen again and again in the future...only with more kids.
Did I say more kids? Yes, I did. For those that don't know, baby is on its way this October. We're very grateful. Mommy's been really sick...thus the blog, neglected. She's been so sick that the boys were caught spitting in a basket and when asked what they were doing, "We're throwing up!" And a few weeks ago, Mom was so sick she couldn't make it to church and gratefully her visiting teachers picked the boys up and took them to church. That Sunday Adam asked, "Momma, when are you going to stop being sick?" To which Mommy now replies, "I don't know honey. Hopefully soon." I'm trying to be remember to be grateful that I am so sick...it means baby is growing...and that there is a baby...
